I have the 30 gallon versions and love them...I put a solar panel and rechargeable battery in it and it works great...the feeder motor throws the corn pretty good and the timer is really simple to program...I would have bought the 55 gallon ones but I live pretty close to my lease so I get out there pretty frequently.. I think they are well worth the money!

I have the 30 gallon hanging version and its the best feeder I have ever had. It doesn't have any bells or whistles but runs on a 6 volt battery but allows you to put two in so you have a back up. In the 2 years I have used it, I have never seen the battery life go under 90%. Sometimes I wish I had 55 gallon vs. 30 but since we have hogs I wanted to hang it. I would buy another without hesitation.

Moultrie feeders are good for the price. You should get years of service out of it unless the pigs or cows tear it up.
If do go with a Moultrie feeder and the slide together legs are included I would replace them with the heavy gauge 8ft metal fence post legs.

Thanks for the replys guys. I'll hog proof them for sure and we're not running any cattle right now. The price on them seems reasonable and they have a should hold a good amount of corn. Thanks for your input.

I prefer All Season Unit for a tad more money. Compare the motors alone, timer, and galvanized box and you will see the difference. And easy to hook up solar and no need for (2) batteries....Sorry guys who love the Moultries.

I like the looks of the "All Seasons Feeder" but at almost double the price ? I want the most for my money.

I looked on internet and found the All Seasons for $75 at All Season Website with a different timer. The Moultrie Pro Magnums range in price from $79 per Academy Website and $99 per Bass Pro-Shops. So unless you are buying them for $45 some place...not double.

Just a year ago I was buying these units for $87 with "The Timer" which came with a 5 year warranty. Mummies in San Antonio use to carry them and some Bucceees. Good luck. I hear the high end Moultrie is pretty good.

I was looking at the complete feeder, not just the motor. The 55 gallon complete is around $220 from Sportsman guide.

Aah
Got it. Plastic set up. I just was at bucces near new braunfels and they have 300 lb all galvanized feeder with motor for 210. And they had sunslinger feeder set up for 130. I was amazed how cheap.
Both included metal legs, metal container and control unit. Just need battery and solar. Good luck. I have had bad luck with the cheap moultries.

This doesn't appear to be the "plastic set up", maybe I'm missing something ?
