Hope you get a kick out of this story....So we head to Disneyworld for a little vacation last week and as we're walking through the park, I notice these ducks landing on some of the ponds. All mallards and they would fly right over us...wings cupped just like they're coming into a group of deeks. My son pointed them out of a few times..."Daddy, look! Those are DUCKS!!" After they buzzed us a couple times, I told my son, "Isn't that cool?" He stopped and said, "Yeah, but I get a funny feeling when I see them doing that." I asked, "What do you mean?" He looked around to make sure no one was listening and whispered, "Every time they fly over us, I feel like I need to shoot them....and then I start looking around like I need to find something to throw at them." I laughed my butt off....that's my boy!

At least you've taught him to restrain himself. I'm afraid my kids would go all Lord of the Flies, and started screaming and chasing them down.

That's about as natural born of a duck hunter as there is. You can't coach that, it's in his DNA!

Awesome.

I caught a Suzie in Animal Kingdom. Just walked up an grabbed it. My girls came over to pet it before I let her go. She never even quacked in annoyance. That is a tame duck. I do have practice picking them up from dog trials but that was just too easy.

I don't think they are all banded.

Oh, and here is the other duck I saw there:
