I took my little bro out hunting this past sunday night... had him usin my Savage .17 HMR... Got on my mouth call and blew 3 series o calls within about 15 minutes... saw a Hawk comin in real slow... knew a predator was comin...

I was down in a creek tryin to call something outta thick trees about 100 yds away... lil bro was posted up dead even with the fence line...

I see the hawk right above me and know that somethings close... outta no where my lil bro says JD!!! he was ten feet in front of me! DIDN"T EVEN SEE IT COME IN! Said he was playin with the dirt and looked up and it was right there... I see the fox... Biggest i've ever seen! Coat looked really good! It started to run around cuz it didn't know what was goin on... i called it back to within 15 yrds 3 different times after the first runoff... lil bro never could get a good shot.... everytime i saw it go into an openin i'd lightly squeek and it'd stop! If idda had my call i coulda shot it ten different times! But when it stopped he couldn't see it!

Fox got downwind and booked it!

Oh well! woulda been my 2nd success callin for him but NOPE!

I'd love to read what yall gotta say about this!

If you can I almost always carry a shotgun at night.

one thing with fox is that they are curious enough to keep coming back a time or 2..yotes or cats u'd never see again

The shotgun is a good idea if your not guna keep or sell the hides..... Otherwise... to get a fox to stop all you have to do is tell him to..... Just say STOP!!!! when you want him to stop.....It works.... But be ready when you stop him, you have bout three seconds to shoot.
