I've always wondered if there's a way to supplementally feed turkeys to get them bigger, just like protein feeding deer. Has anyone ever heard of or tried this?

Wish it was that easy with deer, but it's more genetics then food. It's the same with turkeys.

Its a cobination of all things food genetics and age. You cant do anything with one alone, you need the right combo of all of them.
That said I have always been told if you want to keep turkeys around water works better than food, im sure they will eat the food, but it wont hold them like water.

Agree with the above, unless you feed them what those turkey or chicken growers use.
Chickens with an average weight of 7lbs at 8 weeks old. Turkeys that are over 50lbs when shipped to processor for use in the pieces parts. Not sure I want to know what hormones or steriods are being fed to those birds.

Yep, get the turkeys so heavy they can't fly and excape. Your fox, coyote and bobcat would be happy. I know of a sheep rancher who has problems with turkeys feeding at the sheep self feeders. Personally, son and I add milo to the spin feedders. Deer and hogs won't bother the milo and turkeys show up on the game cams.

It doesn't necessarily make 'em grow bigger but it sure makes 'em easier to kill.....

Don't listen to that Mallard guy. He seems to be a troublemaker.
I just so happen to have some genetically modified chufa that has been laced with HGH.
Let me know if y'all want some. We killed an 84 pound gobbler this past season. Forget about hevi shot. We had to start shooting triple ought buckshot and it still took 7 shots to scratch him down.
It's pricey at 1400 bucks a bag but well worth it.
Just don't let any hogs get in it.

I am a direct supplier for
BALCO MAGNUM GOBBLER BLEND.
Free shipping to the continental US.
Order now and receive a free TRANQUILIZER AND TESTOSTERONE INJECTION KIT. This kit will really jump start your gobblers.
We are seeing 40 pound jakes on our farm.
We have several 100 pounders on trail cams but they soak up lead like a sponge. We haven't recovered one yet but with the new ammunition coming out next year, we will get one.

really excited about this product!
You see whenever I yelp at a turkey, he seems to stop all that incessant gobbling and reverse course...With the weight on these birds I will have a great excuse to pick up my ought 6 and head to the field... I feel that with this product and the tip I picked up from mallard about spreading out whole yellow corn all around my area....next year will be my year!!!!

Rifles and Smiling Mallards are a losing combination.
You need to stick to the product and contact barneywho about that new triple ought TSS blend.
These turkeys are super agressive and dangerous, but they can be hunted safely with the correct shotshells.
As far as that Smiling Mallard guy goes, I don't know for sure but I heard he was an Aggie. Next thing I know, you will be wanting to bring out an all male cheer squad.
I just don't know if I can stomache that.

mallard told me in confidence that corn is the secret to his turkey hunting sucess...I'm going with his recommendation as deseperation has set in.....
I'm going to have to stick with my rifle also..... rumor has it barneywho does not have to use a flashlight predawn due to the glow his fingers put off from loading that special blend and the tsa employees down at airport security know him by name.

The southeast reginonal atmospheric warning guy spoke at my kids school about that barneywho guy, but I thought surely it was a different guy.
Now, I'm not so sure. He loads some pretty hot loads.

I use Buck Rack for the deer and Turkey Beard and Turkey Cocaine for the turkeys. There ought to be a turkey or two on here who know where to get it.

Bwho's "hottest" load is that 2 pound #9 Radium 226 X #5 Plutonium 238...... and I guarantee that is will take care of your genetically engineered Frankengobblers....but it will eff you up if you're exposed to if too long. I recommend a full radioactive hazmat uniform in Mossy Oak Obsession for hunting with this load.
Now you Mr. bama ....from the invoice attached well....you have some splaining to do... BTW, I also have invoices of sales from your store for 150 pounds of Gobbler Ganja to a Mr. Trent Richardson....

Well, now that the cat's outta the bag I guess I'll fess up and admit that all my success in the turkey woods is directly related to the "Yellow Brick Road" of hunting victory...KORN!!! In fact, I'm relieved that I don't have to hide behind the "Old School" veil any longer...call 'em up close...striaght bead shotgun....turkey tactics...HAWGWASH!! I'll tell you westex I'm so glad that you've chosen this path and quite frankly I'm very relieved. I swear PM after PM from you this spring with stories from WY to NE to ND and always the same sad, pitiful results well....simply put, you need to change your stars and KORN is the way! I will also recommend after you do FINALLY have some success at this turkey chasing game, be sure to post really fancied up pictures of the bird you kill and and maybe even post a video of the hunt with the leg of the actual feeder you were hunting over in the frame with those magical yellow nuggets scattered everywhere. Good luck westtex....we're all depending on you. Oh and BTW, BWho is on a multitude of "Watch Lists" for various reasons.... Hey are you going to get one of them new AR platform turkey rifles and if so, what caliber?

Listen carefully Malard.
We are all natural at Alabama.
We just have big boned kids.
It's not hate unless you feel it n your heart.
So what if we have a 14 year old that can bench 450. He is an overachiever.
Live with it.

All I can tell you is if you accidently let some of this blended TSS get into some breast meat and ingest it you might poop Platnium. Then your wife will want a new ring amoung other things.
