Whatever I happen to have in my hand when i see one. I really haven't found a bad one yet. Shot placement might change, depending on caliber on hand, but all will kill equally well.

I am planning on using a .270. I haven't been hog hunting quite yet so am watching this thread closely for opinions.

7.62x39, .308, .270, 9mm, even 5.7x28. Whatever I decide to take out with me. It's more about shot placement than caliber.

Depends on terrain. Last time I went into thick woods the good ole' Marlin .30-30 was in my hands.
If I'm hunting open country my bolt action .260 will be with me.
Once my 7 Rem Mag is built I'll carry it for the open country hunt.

45-70. Otherwise,I would never shoot the thing. Not because I think it's necessary but because hogs are the only animals that I'm not upset by losing a little meat.
