I am interested in buying a light for night hunting coyotes and hogs. I understand that the Green LED is brighter and shines further than the Red, but I worry about the green spooking animals by being TOO bright. What do you all recommend? Have you ever had the green or even the red spook any animals?
Thanks, Shane

If you are just going to get one color, go with green. It will work just fine on predators and hogs.
I use both, red for predators and green for hogs. I am old school.

Ok, my cocker loves to chase a laser that I have. One is red and one is green. She can see both. This week I have my daughters two dogs at my house. Doing the same laser thing with my dog tonight and my daughters two dogs cannot see my green laser at all. I tried the red laser and they can see it. My two cents worth go green.

Thanks for the input. I ended up ordering both red and green. I found the hunting kit, which includes the extra tail cap wire switch, gun mount, 2 batteries and a charger. Ordered it straight from china for $142 for both shipped. I know its a gamble, but from what I can tell it is the EXACT same light as the XLR 250 that Kill Light sells. I will update you once they come in.

If you contact "riddler72" here on the forum he is now selling/carrying the Elusive Wildlife xlr250's in all colors at a really attractive price. I have bought 4 of the green lights from him and they work great. We have used them on hogs and coyotes.

I won't use a barrel mount. It will vary with each rifle as far as point of aim being affected.
