Hey, I'm bring both the hawks to Fort Worth the 27th and we will be rabbit hunting around the Blue Mound Road area for a few days. If you have never been rabbit hunting with hawks and want to come see this is your invite! They don't always connect! But most of the time the rabbit is doomed! Not as fast as a .22 bullet but twice the fun!

Please let me know when/where you'll be around. My son, and I, would also like to see that.
Thank you, very much.

I've seen this once it's really cool to see. These trainors work more than the hawks does sometimes. Too bad I have to work that day.

I should be in town about 12noon and we normally meet at the Whataburger right off 820&Blue Mound Road.
PM me and I'll give you my cell number.
We are hunting the 28th and 2nd also.
I have a convention to attend in Dallas the 29th, 30th and 1st so I'm not sure when I'll be hunting but the rest of them are hunting every day.

We had an awesome day today with several grand stories to tell but this picture is just cool to me. Padme' caught this huge rabbit squarely by the head, Tirzah came in to help control the body, rabbit was bucking and kicking up a storm. Look close in the PIC and you can see the rabbits back foot coming out Padme's back!

I took Neo and Padme' to Texas this weekend and we had a grand time, heres a few PICs This is Zeus, Neo and Padme' riding the perch so well, these three get along very, very well with no problems even if Neo rides on someones back! The next three are of some of Padme's solo kills, I'll get around to posting Neo's solos and the assist PICs One thing I noted after seeing all the PICs is that Padme' seems to catch them with her bad foot!

It's all about team work and Neo is an intriguing part of this team, he is the part of the mix that makes things work and that makes things fun. He does things that seem totally bazaar but they work! I personally didn't thing this wait and ambush technique would work but the wind was blowing 15-20 mph and he kept getting blown away and it would take him 30 minutes to get back to the hunt. Transferring Padme' and Neo off the kill is getting easier and easier, they are just so good together on the kill! Neo and Padme' took a rabbit about 4:30pm and it happened so fast I put Padme' up and let Neo have some one on one coaching. It didn't take long for Neo to latch on to a bunny and ride it around. We got him off and I was finished but Krys found another bunny so we set up for the slip. The rabbit ran behind some equipment and Neo saw him and went in but the bunny didn't sit still, it busted and ran down the side of a chain link fence, some how Neo caught the bunny through the fence!

Some PIC's of Katana during my recent trip to Texas, I witnessed some truely awesome flights by this redtail! She made some awesome vertical stoops and power cross wind flights that were a joy to watch! I'll let HawkerDiver Girl tell the stories ....... they were fun! I didn't get all the catches for the week but I did get these two! This was a really good flight because the rabbit was really running hard and the hawk had to do a very hard 90 dergee turn to catch the bunny!
