Good deer in that area. Sorry no pics, I don't hunt there, but I drive through there often. Beautiful country too, especially around Evant.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

There are some good deer in that area for sure. Hunt sometimes on a ranch that he Leon River is one property line. Have seen 130 class bucks there and occasionally there are biggerones taken around there.

If the place and its neighbors are well managed, expect to see good numbers of deer and turkey. A typical mature (5 yo) buck will be 8 to 10 points and score in the 120 - 135 range. 140 is big and 150 is huge.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

I have seen only 1 hog on our lease in 4 years and that was on a camera pic but we are about 15 miles southwest of Hamilton.

My cousin has about 500 acres on the Leon just west of Jonesboro and he is over run with hogs. Couple years ago they ate the tail off a newborn calf before he could unsack his 7mag. They get down in his coastal fields and just tear it up, can't even ride a 4wheeler.

my dad hunted there in the early 90's and his buddies took some 120-130" deer. me and my cousin saw a black panther.
carry on.
If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

We had a cat on our property too until last year. Saw some pics at our deer processor where someone killed one last year a couple miles from our place. Haven't seen one this year yet.

A typical mature (5 yo) buck will be 8 to 10 points and score in the 120 - 135 range. 140 is big and 150 is huge. This is about as accurate as it can be put. I grew up in Central Texas and for all but about 6 years of my life I hunted west of Gatesville and East of Goldthwaite, with in 15 miles of 84. I've "heard" of 170's being shot in that region, but I highly doubt it. Maybe 1 every 10 or 15 years will get shot. By best friends dad killer a 148" 3 years ago and he was AMAZING! He's the biggest one I've ever seen in person around those parts. It's a great place to hunt. Typically there are a ton of deer. You're probably not going to get your name in the B & C book, but that doesn't mean you can't see good deer.
