How do I keep the tires from rotting on my lease trailer?

Should I drive it once or twice a year or raise it up above the ground.

IMHO - Getting up off ground will help, but dry rot & Sun does more damage! Put some tire compound on 'em and try to protect them from the Sun's UV rays.

Jack it up off the ground and cover them, or take them off and store them in a shed or something.

Get you some of those leveling blocks and back your tires on top of them. They look like orange legos. They Keep your tires off the ground and prevent dry rot. Get wheel covers. Once a year (I do mine opening weekend) take an air compressor down there and make sure they are aired up.

You're going to have to replace them once every 5-7 years regardless of what you do.

Just a thought, but if you start with new tires I think you can make it more than the 5-7.

Our last set on the travel trailer was a normal set of carlyle radials, replaces at 12 years old. They were kept outised parked ontop of 2x12 with plywood covers to keep sun off, and not allowed to sit flat(on rim) Now the stay inside with jacks holding it up while in use so they will likely make it even longer.
