When I got home from work today I figured I'd tackle a really nice piece of sheen Obsidian a fellow knapper gave me. As is comon, some of the sheen knapped off but it's still a pretty piece. Where there isn't any sheen, it's clear as glass (you can see a white spot on the hide through the point). If I had to name it, I'd call it an Agate Basin but about 5 minutes of whittling would turn it into an Adena.

Nice , I just started I'v worked on a couple pieces of glass I baught at a show along with a couple of tools. I started with a piece of glass about that size and ended up with a small arrow point LOL

We all have to start somewhere. I started out knapping the bottoms of beer bottles. Nowhere but 'up' to go from there. grin
