Look up elite firearms in Fort Worth. He is off gravel drive and trinity blvd 820 area. Guy has bad press on the web but has turned killer jobs on my stuff. Make sure you get his cell number. WARNING HE IS VERY HARD TO GET A HOLD OF. One man show and has alot of work going usually but his estimates stick and his time estimations are close.

I use Ray's Sporting Goods in downtown Dallas. Full service shop and rates are pretty decent.

There is a small gunsmith shop on palo pinto highway on the west side of weatherford.
Also lone star guns(Tin Top rd and I-20 south side of highway) does all sorts of work, but one of the smiths that works there is real young so experience level can't be all that high but they would have a more official store front and probably quicker turn around.

Screw Lone Star, my brother has had one in their for three weeks waiting on the barrel to get swapped on a savage. They did not have a wrench, but ordered one said it would be here in a week. Week goes by and bro calls them up and they say its backordered and nobody has one in stock,(bs cause I check MidwayUsa and they have them) and say it will be here in another week. Another week goes by and I need a barrel swapped, so I call to see if they can, and they tell me they dont have a wrench and they dont know when it will get there, could be 2-3 weeks. The only reason the gun is still there is becuase he has not had time to get it but i think today its going to Shumaker in Stephenville. Good guy I would recommend him. So on with Lone Star they are overpriced, and just plain crappy to deal with. The guy on 180 I have heard good stuff on but never used him. He had about 5-6 week turn around on swapping barrel the other day though.

Ended up taking it to S&S precision in Argyle. So for I'm impressed with the guys at the shop and the quality of work. They showed me a few customers completed rifles and ones they were working one. Positive thing is they only work on 700 and 700 clone actions, which is ok with me bc those are the only guns I own that I would build off of.
