Any ideas on refinishing a 1911. It was nickled and I would like to know about stripping it down and having it reblued. It is a govt/military issue, so keep marks as clean as possible is important. I am trying to get an idea of the cost as well. I realize that this will never be a collecter and the value is already shot, but still intrested in turning it into a really cool shooter/carry gun.

Call Jim Clark in Louisiana, believe he is now moved outside of Shreveport. They used to offer several refinishing options, plus some of the best custom work available.
