Well guys what do yall think Rita will do the the dove hunting in north Texas after this weekend. From personal experence I have always noticed that dove will move northward to get out of the high winds, and can account for some good hunting.

Hopefully so but it is expected to be awefully windy and stormy near Dallas as well. I am going out west to Spur Tues through Thurs next week so I hope a bunch get pushed out there. Plus a front is supposed to be headed down.

West is the place to be. The farther the better.

Well we did not get any south winds here in the metroplex and definetly not in Quanah where I hunt, with all the high north winds some doves mabye came down from up north. We will have a good cold front on Thursday move through which will push some birds down, Thinking about going to Quanah this weekend, it may be pretty good. Did anyone hunt this area this weekend if so how were the birds?
