I got a call from my cousin last Saturday night saying he was looking at several coyotes out on the old grass runway while he was mowing at the other end! I loaded up my gear & headed that way. I called until my calls got tired! No show, but they were talking to me. I think they said come back about an hour earlier tomorrow! So thats what I did! wink We set up on Sunday about 30 minutes before he 1st seen them on Saturday. I howled a few times on my TC diaphragms to hopefully peak their interest & then shut up & set still! One hour later, this male and it's mate strolls out of the woods. I'm not sure if they we looking for me or just happened by, but they found me! Or should I say he did. Atleast he found my 55 gr V-max .223 reload I launched at him from about 70 yards away! She took off & I tried to talk her in to coming back but she was havin none of that! He weighed in at 40.2 pounds & had a few scars. He was a boss! Judging his teeth I would guess him at about 4 yrs old! As for the others, I'LL BE BACK! laugh

Thanks guys!
I was going to go out there in the morning to try to thin out the others but my cousin called last night and said he took a shot at the female (or another grown coyote)yesterday at dusk.
So I may let her calm down a day or two!
I will be calling somewhere in the morning, just maybe not there! wink
Have a great weekend!

Guess he was the April fool.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.
