Anyone know if there's any gobbling or chasing going on in the San Saba county area?

We're going the second week of the season, but I'm kinda worried what the drought did to the bird numbers. We didn't see a whole lot during deer season.

I'll be close in Northwestern Lampasas County. They've been sounding off like clock work about 0730.

I am in NW Burnet and they sounded off every morning along the river all through deer season. Whether or not they are gobbling is meaningless. Question is, are they with hens?

We were down there over the weekend...heard a bunch...I couldn't get any to commit but my buddy did. Got his first Turkey ever 13 miles from San Saba. they are there. I am surprised he hasn't posted the pics on here yet
