Great pics. The wildflowers are really starting to bloom right now.

My hunting buddy photographed some last weekend. I had no idea about the legend of the bluebonnet or pink bluebonnet from the blood of the Alamo. Cool story.

I have a buddy who can't wait for his bluebonnet's to come up every year.

After he runs his bushhog over 'em the resulting slobber fit his wife has is pretty entertaining.

Hold your gun straight, and turn your cell phone sideways... when shooting video.

What is ya'lls policy on mowing them? I have some areas where they are thick that I leave alone but I like a nice clean cut lawn and they go and ruin that.

I know on Ft Hood they have no mowing signs up around the big thick blue bonnet areas

I let them grow in my yard and don't mow until they go to seed and have finished blooming. Each year I have more and more of them. Great pics Sappertitan.

Your lucky then...the places were they grow best has some of the least fertile soil...

My buddys wife stopped and took this pic of their little girl on our private road

My new favorite Blue Bonnet pic. This is my Australian shepherd Bakana and my 8 1/2 months pregnant wife.

Navasotbred, The little girl was dressed perfectly to be sitting in a Bluebonnet patch. Wall hanging material!

Went by Firewheel (Lowes) this afternoon. There's a field north of GB that has ACRES of bluebonnets -- and dozens of families with kids right in the middle of them all. Gorgeous way to punctuate the recent rains.

"My grandfather told me that there are two kinds of people: those who work and those who take the credit. He also told me to try to be in the first group since there was much less competition."
