Got this photo of a hiker on our dear lease. Land owner doesn't know who she is so I thought I would check on here and see if anyone recognized her. Lease is situated just S of Springtown and 10 miles N. of Weatherford between 51 and 730.

Who does this? I guess I have a stronger desire NOT to get shot than some people do...

Looks like she had planned on going on a walk. Looks like a camera bag in the front.

X2 and also seems to be wearing a camel back for water.

Obviously a poacher.

Shouldn't you make a report to the Sheriffs office? I'd leave the GW out for now. They have plenty of other things to do.

I agree that looks like a camera bag but she might have a bazooka in there.

Agreed. Strange behavior to start crossing fences for a walk

I figure she's just out for a hike and has no regard for property lines. Maybe she was taking a short cut to the grocery store? With the jacket tied around the waste she was either out for a while before or planned on being out late. Only got one pic of her so who knows.

Thinking that bothering an LEO right now is silly. I'd like to find out if anyone knows her first. If so, then I'd sure like to know why she was there. After that LEO's may be the next step.

Is that near a pipeline? I get them on my pipeline right-of-ways fairly often and have had a few stray off the path. Could be some sort of GPS unit she's holding, but I can't tell.

Had one walk right under my stand one time. Scared me when I first saw him, but scared him a heck of alot more when he saw me in a tripod with a rifle.

Does your land butt up next to something like a WMA? My youngest brother is getting his Masters in Wildlife Ecology and they will research where habitat is ideal (although they do ask permission)

Just a thought.

Oh yeah...where is the doe? laugh

Hold your gun straight, and turn your cell phone sideways... when shooting video.

Looks pretty harmless to me, no gun only a camera. I know a lot of my buddies would like to see a female critter like that on their property.

If there is a possibility of her being a Weatherford student, maybe a Weatherford teacher on the forum would recognize her.

Please note that nowhere did I say I was mad or worried. In fact I said I'd like to know why she was there before any type of LEO action. I seriously doubt that she's a serial poacher but you never know. Landowner stated he didn't know her so I thought I'd see if anyone here might recognize her. Not worried about her scaring deer or kidnapping the turkey but would like to know why she was in the middle of the property.

As for the pipeline question. That's what the landowner and I think but figured it wouldn't hurt to throw it out here.

Seriously, it's March 13, nothing's really in season, she's unarmed and it's lunchtime? And you're ready to put out an APB?

Just like you said, nothing is in season so there's nothing else to do but this. Thought you guys would have understood.
