Someone gave me this knife years ago and it just goes from drawer to drawer. Not sure if it is worth $10, $100 or $1000. Any ideas on what this is?

Looks like one of the cheap imports like a Maxam, Frost, or no-name. If it's what I think it is, you can usually put a decent edge on them but it won't hold it for the amount of time it takes to re-sheath it. Most of these are good for looks only or as a tacklebox\under seat knife.

IT IS A CHEAPIE , BUT I WOULDN'T TOSS IT JUST CUZ IT IS.
I HAVE QUITE A FEW DIFFERENT KNIVES , AND SOME WOULDN'T
BE WORTH A FEW DOLLARS , BUT THEY HAVE SOME KIND OF VALUE
TO ME , A MEMORY OR SENTIMENTAL VALUE ETC.
HANG ON TO IT AND MAYBE YOUR KIDS , OR NEPHEW OR YOUR
BUDDY'S KID MAY WANT IT SOMEDAY. . . .

Use it for a pattern and make a good knife out of some home made demascus. I like a lot of the blade designs that are being imported. However the quality of grinding, steel and heat treating are lacking. Dont mean $25 for an import will not turn into a $500 knife.
