The brown ones have blue bills and the black and white ones have blue on the sides of their neck and head.

blackjacks...ain't worth eating but make good dog treats  The wigeon (brown ducks are the hens and the green and white heads are drakes) are good.

Ringnecks, wigeon, coots, and one white Peking duck. Hard to tell if they are all Ringnecks or if scaup are mixed in from the screen on My iPhone

What you have there are Scaups. They are not ringers/blackjacks as some have suggested. We get them every year after the season in our neighborhood ponds but I never see one during the season.

This is correct. Not a single ringer in these pics. Almost all Scaup with a few Wigeon. The brown ones with the white patch in between the eye and bill are Scaup hens, while the black ones with the white backs are the drakes. Scaup hang out at a lot of public ponds, Ringers don't. Not to mention that they look very different from one another...
