i find a whole lot around our protien feeders. the sides of the ranch road and in small clearings also seem to hold their fair share

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

The reason why you find so many by fences is because when they jump over them they jar them loose from thier head, and if there is a hole in the fence they will sometimes hang the antlers on the fence and cause them to pull off as they go through the fence.

The reason you find so many in and around creekbeds is because when the water rises it carries the sheds into log jams and a lot times into fences that cross the creeks. When this happens it allows you to concentrate your shed hunting efforts on specific areas therefor eliminating a lot of your search area and making your time more productive.

In the Louisiana sportsman magazine a few years ago they showed how to build a feed area that will cause them to lose there antlers at the feed. It was shaped like a W and made out of fence the feed was placed at the low inside of the points on the W and while eating the feed there antlers would get nocked off on the fence.

Tree lines. We found a few driving the edge of the mesquites while quail hunting.

Beer of the world beware. I'll kill an 18 pack just to watch it die.

The fence lines along the wheat field are usually very good.
