How is the hunting in southern Taylor county? I'm looking at an area with lots of thick large trees and many hilltops. I normally hunt South of that area and have hunted a good bit of Texas but just never that area.

Thanks

Just alot of hogs, never seen hardly any quality deer, this was in the Bradshaw area.

The closest town is either Bradshaw or Winters.

Dgilbert, I notice there is vast differences in land out that way. Were the lack of the deer in the hills or the lower land or both?

Thanks again

Not many huge bucks but there are plenty of deer. I hunt around the lake Abilene. I've never had a problem filling tags. Plenty of pigs tho.

Thanks all. Sounds like I will be happy there. While huge bucks are nice, I have always been happy if there are just average deer on the property. I used to hunt the hill country and I have seen bigger dogs then some of the deer I have shot. Hogs are a bonus for me as well. I enjoy hunting them too. Thanks again.
