Anyone entered to be in the contest gander mountain is holding in sherman? It starts on Feb. 9th so you still have time to register!

Any idea on rules and prizes or where the info is for the hunt? Thats the same time as the Graham hunt I am pretty sure.

I hunted it last year and they sent me a reminder for this year in the mail. Did not do too good last year and did not go to the weigh-in.... wouldn't you know it... they drew my name in the raffel for the $500 fox pro remote caller. My buddys called me from up there and rubbed it in... had to be present to win.

This year they are giving away a real nice 22-250.

Wish I could hunt it, but my wife and I are having a baby in 12 days, so my time is pretty much spoken for.

I bet the lie detecter is B.S. it was last year and I am not going to enter into another until I know for shure that they will inforce the lie detecter way to many folks cheat and I'm not going to donate to the low lifes.

There was no L D test last year at the SHERMAN contest. 6 coyotes won. It was a one man team that won. There was not even a hint of cheating at that contest.

There was no lie detecter test given last year and yes folks cheated. There is one group that makes there rounds to all the calling contest around here if there is no lie detecter they are going to win it with coyotes from the freezer.

Nobody cheated at that contest. It was a solo dude by himself in a van. I talked to him because I was by myself. I asked him where he hunted and what you used. Let me ask you this; why would he have only brought in 6 coyotes? That is a very small number to cheat with, and also a small number to win a contest with. It was a slow night for all at that contest.
I don't doubt people cheat at some but this was a clean contest that I went to and this year its got a LD test. The GW was also there when they took the weigts of all dogs and cats.

I don't know that. at this contest the contest judge and a large group of spectators went from truck to truck as people pulled up checking the animals.
I just don't think I could see a person feeling confident with all dogs and no cats to cheat.

For those of you reading this crap nothing seemed fishy to me personaly. Take it how you want. If I get some land gathered up ill be there.

If they have a LD this year than next year I will enter, no more contest without LD for me. It seems like every contest you here if you win you will have to take a LD than when it comes down to it they dont do it and that is bs.

While it does sound like fun, after looking at the winners list....there had to be some cheating going on...I've seen several of those boys shoot! And one of them's wife works there!!!

There was one really pretty feller in those pics, and a really nice truck...

I'm seriously considering hunting in this contest...win or lose, it's a blast! Plus...ya gotta be in it to win it!
