After almost a year of searching I have found the answer to all my ammo woes... I have several very old guns that ammo has not been made for in many, many years. Most specifically the Chicago palm pistol and the knuckle-duster. The Palm pistol shoots a .32 rimfire extra short w/ black powder. I have called every custom loaded and no one makes rimfire – until now. I found a guy about 3 hours west of here that makes custom rimfire. He actually makes every type of ammo around but I only cared about the rimfire for now. He makes the cases himself out of bras, and the best part is they are easily reloadable. They are not quite traditional… He uses a 6mm starting cap in the case at the rim that fires it. (You have to make sure you load them in your gun in the correct direction.) I have tested the first batch I picked up while I was out there today and they are great. I had spoken to him several times on the phone and he invited me up to tour his shop and see the process. This is not a guy in his garage it’s a serious licensed shop He has a huge facality. Nonetheless if any one else is interested in getting very hard to find ammo email me and ill send you his contract information. He does not load the ammo as far as I know but finding an easily reloadable rimfire is pretty cool for a cartage that has not been mas made in over 100 years! These cases are not exactly cheap, $4 each for mine, but considering I cannot get them anywhere else its money well spent. Other cases very in price but they are all reloadable, even pin fires. Below is a picture of the case and reusable primer. I have a list he gave me of what all he makes and its everything from pinfire, rimfire, center fire and anything else you can think of. He said their moto is if you want it they can make it. While I was there they were making everything from 4guage reloadable brass shotgun shells to .577 Snider. Again this is not cheap but he is the only person I know making most of the custom rimfire and center fire ammo. Just thought id share and maybe someone else can revice there old relic they have not been able to get ammo for.

Ya, what i like about his rimfire is they can be reloaded by replacing the staring cap and most rimfire cannot... Reloading them takes me all of a few seconds each.

Very cool! I've had a few calls on some of the older ammo like this, and i'd be clueless on the rimfire stuff.

I have picked up .32 rimfire a few time from OWS for my dad, but having something I can reload would be a world better. Thanks for the info.

yea i love these. In the past i have had to cut down 32 rim fires to make the super short, as far as i know no one has made a super short case since 1890's... I did get a few of the .32 rimfire cases too but have not had time to load them up just yet. I got them to shoot in my knuckle duster (picture of unloaded case below. I ordered some pin fire for my 9mm pin fire today and am waiting to see what that looks like all made up and how easy they are to reload, I'm told its very easy. I know i sound like an ad, i have no affiliation with this company, its just really really nice to be able to get any case ever made in a reloadable form!

I was about to trash an old pinfire double shotgun but now I may keep it. Yippee.

This may sound crazy but you might try contacting one of the gun mag experts. They seem to like unusual questions..

A lot of the old Rimfire in larger calibers has not been made in a long time. Found a few boxes to shoot in an old rolling block about 20 years ago. That person had several bricks of it but too bad most of it was lost in a fire. Fun little round though.
