I have not hunted em there but have seen em in private land fields on the north side of the road going into the Marshall Creek park.

I tried a couple of years ago. Hunted two mornings and never heard a gobble or saw a bird. Saw a few old tracks in the mud, so I know there are birds there...

Anyone heard of or seen any turkeys out there this year? Thinking about giving it a go Sunday but not sure where to begin.

Out of many years, I have never heard one there ever and have never heard of anyone ever killing one there on public land. You should seriously consider driving a little farther and hunting one of the national grasslands.

X2 There are concentrated pockets of them, but they mostly roost, and strut on private land just out of reach. -Matt

Unfortunately since GV is so close, I have to take what I can get. I am able to go and get home early enough so as not to make mama mad.
Maybe I can get lucky and see a pig and shoot one of them.
I know I have seen them when driving into the pary at Trophy Club.
Just getting out there is worth something. And I dont know anything about any of the grasslands.

They must all be on the west side of 35w. We bow hunted 3 to 4 times a week during deer season and We never saw or heard turkey's. We have some in Lake Dallas but its all private land.
