I have not hunted em there but have seen em in private land fields on the north side of the road going into the Marshall Creek park.

I tried a couple of years ago. Hunted two mornings and never heard a gobble or saw a bird. Saw a few old tracks in the mud, so I know there are birds there...

Anyone heard of or seen any turkeys out there this year? Thinking about giving it a go Sunday but not sure where to begin.

Out of many years, I have never heard one there ever and have never heard of anyone ever killing one there on public land.
You should seriously consider driving a little farther and hunting one of the national grasslands.

X2

There are concentrated pockets of them, but they mostly roost, and strut on private land just out of reach.

Unfortunately since GV is so close, I have to take what I can get. I am able to go and get home early enough so as not to make mama mad.

Maybe I can get lucky and see a pig and shoot one of them.

I know I have seen them when driving into the pary at Trophy Club.

Just getting out there is worth something. And I dont know anything about any of the grasslands.

They must all be on the west side of 35w. We bow hunted 3 to 4 times a week during deer season and We never saw or heard turkey's. We have some in Lake Dallas but its all private land.
