Ive never caught trout before, so when the Canton city lake stocked them a few weeks ago we went to get some! It was windy and cold but we toughed it out for three hours and ended up with 8 small rainbow trout. Was pretty fun. We hadem for dinner that night!

That's awesome! I take my kids to some of the parks around here and catch trout when they stock them. Great fun for the kiddos!

They are stocking 4000 in McKinney Towne Lake on Saturday. I plan on taking the wife. We caught 60 last year (4 of us) and kept a limit of big ones.

lol, yeah it was a small meal. But, we went out there determined to catch dinner and thats what we did. Never mind that the majority of dinner was sides, lol.

We just used canned corn. Used a crappie rig with tiny hooks and a couple split shots as weight. Apparently its a good setup for them as we caught a lot more than the others who were there fishing for them using the same bait.

nice haul. I took my 3 year old fishing for trout in Frisco last weekend. We didn't catch much, but we had a blast.

We used to catch them up in WA state while camping. We would clean and cook them within an hour. Some of the best fish I've had.
