Now that deer season is over we are offering hog hunts in Wichita County about 2 1/2 hours from DFW.
We will run dogs to catch and kill wild hogs. Guaranteed to be very exciting and full of adrenaline. ***No middle man*** Funds go straight to the dog handlers. Excellent dogs and guides. I have been part of these operations for about 8 years now and it is a blast every time. I am not the dog handler! I simply help with the booking and guiding.
$850 per group for 1 full day of hunting. We start at daylight and quit when you are tired of chasing and sticking.
All vehicles, land access, cleaning, knowledge, and dogfood is provided with this service.
We do have different rates if you just want to be apart of the catching and tying of the hog.
But please remember, we are not and will not ever be the cheapest hunt on the forum. It is somewhat expensive to do what we do, and we simply try to cover our cost. We all have real jobs aswell and are not doing this to get rich!

*no guns allowed
*you may bring your own knife or use one of ours
*pre approved spears will be allowed
*sack lunch is provided
*no more than 4 hunters in a group
*video will be taken so you can re live the moment

yes, when we hunt with/out other hunters we tie the pigs. If we have guests, then most of the time they want to stick the pig so we accommodate.

If none of you have had to do the upkeep on a pack of dogs you don't realize the expense and time involved. A full day hunt for 4 people for $850 is a good price especially since it probably takes atleast 2 people to handle the dogs. The dogs are always hurt or sick and you have to feed them year round. I used to do it, and having a pack of hunting dogs is like having a boat, the 2 happiest days of your life is the day you buy them and the day you sell them.

Oh, I didn't realize this was $850 for the whole group. That only comes to $212.50 per hunter which is pretty good.

Pig hunting with dogs is a lot of fun.. Although its a young mans sport day in - day out, everyone should go at least once. Problem is, once you go, you start thinking about where to get some dogs! I used to have a good set of dogs. On two seperate occasions, the best dog I had at the time got a little too close to the wrong hog. After losing those two "huntin' buddies", I changed sports. I will say that hunting with a good set of dogs is HIGH ADRENANLINE especially if its your first time. Buck fever and fear factor mixing pot.

thank you all for the kind words. I look fwd to taking some folks from this forum, so they can see first hand what all is involved. We hunt in very hog populated areas. On Saturday the boys caught a 325# black and white spotted boar. Needless to say it was one heck of a rodeo.
Thankfully, none of the dogs were injured.

have you ever had them end up in a tank. I have heard some great stories about guys going in after them because the dogs do. I was wondering where this thread went.

We run them at night in the spring time, or on warm days. Your right it can get a little tense
