Ive got a small place in salado, tx. I have seen lots of coyotes and a few cats out there in the past, but I have only called one in and that was at night. Any tips?

I like daytime callin, early mornin or evening better around there? (i hear em sound off every evening)

What kinda calls, im a fan of mouth calls and have all i need. Howlin or squealin?

Anything you can give me will help to be honest, i feel stumped cause ive tried many different strategies

there could be several reasons, you not seeing anything, hearing you come in or seeing you, if you are calling loudly, try a softer call, try a female invitation or challenge. good luck

Most likely you are being busted, either by sight, movement or smell. Look for Varmint Al's site, do a Google for it and do a lot of reading. It is one of the best varmint hunting sites for beginners.

you can read and read all about it. still you will be left wondering WHY.

Just get out there and keep trying diff. things, invest in a decoy. wait longer, get there earier, call louder, call softer, maybe you are not making the right noises with your mouth call? Hell I dont know. just mix it up until you find the right recipie
