If you aren't by yourself and have transportation, do yourself a favor and drive down south on U.S.77 and hang a left between Ricardo and Riviera to Kings Inn at Loyola Beach one evening. (Billboard and highway department sign tell you where to turn off 77). You'll be glad you did!

Since way before Hector was a pup its been THE place to go for locals and area visitors alike for the best fresh seafood around.

The Railroad Seafood Station on Chapparral will be worth a try. I haven't eaten there, only because I haven't realized it was there....but the the original Railroad Seafood Station at Odem, owned and operated by the same family, is one of my favorite places to eat.

Personally I think Snoopys is overrated. I live down here over a year and have been once. Food was cold, haven't been back

Did they ever rebuild the place over by Rockport that had the small Zoo. Burned down years ago. Used to be great.

Sorry for the late response, Howards is downtown just of the highway on Antelope St. I think. There are 2 Millers BBQ, both South of SPID. One on Weber and one on Airline. Also for a good afternoon beer on a big deck/patio Brewster Street Ice house is good. They also get a lot of good red dirt concerts. Brewsters is in the parking lot of Whataburger Stadium downtown.
