Hey guys,

I'm working on a friends Browning shotgun and I'm having issues with the safety. The gun is a Browning Gold SL Hunter 12ga. The issue is, when the action closes, the safety will not function. When the action is opened the safety performs normal but once closed it's stuck in whatever position it was in when it closed. I tore the gun down and cleaned it throughly, inspected the trigger mech for any worn parts or missing springs. I didn't see anything but I'm no expert. The gun is probably no more than 5 years old and has seen very little use and definitely not abused. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks ya'll.

-Jerry

Has no one run into any similar issues of a different make or model? Just some suggestions would be great! Thanks.

I have owned and still own a few of these and have never seen or heard of such a thing. Sorry. Curious to see what it is, though.
