I'm kinda the same way, just walk up and shoot the damn thing and get it over with. I still remember the pic's somebody posted a couple of years ago. One big hog, two dead dog's and another cut to ribbons, all were wearing vests. Sorry but I love my dogs too much, their not an expendable commodity. Not my cup of tea!

I am not sure if we are talking about the same person but I have hunted with a guy out of Albany named trey. The guy that I do most of my hunting with says he hunted with you agile back. His name is cole Davis

We had some guys running dogs on a property close to mine and its just not as effective as the corral traps. I have a buddy that traps and sales hogs. In one night we've had 28 hogs in a trap. Dogs just run them from one place to another. One day the dogs chased the hogs across my place which of course scared the kids who were playing in the yard when about 10 hogs and 3 dogs came flying by. I let them get there dogs and told them I didn't expect to see them again. Oh yeah they caught 1 hog that day but scared off about $285 worth of hogs we could have used for the farm. The dogs don't care we trap. If dogs came with steering wheels it wouldn't be such a problem. If anyone needs a trapper in Robertson couty Tx I can get you my buddies info. He has his own trailors and traps.

and i agree. but i think only one side needs to be brought up and i think that is for the OP. I am talking about running dogs and bashing on the efficiency and offering another service is not needed.

but i can provide a phone number of a farmer that i have run dogs for in the past when trapping was no longer providing numbers for him.

You're right. Didn't mean to offer a service. My buddies here and he appologizes too. He's to old to work a computer but he can work a trap.

i think its also how good the dogs are, i run rough dogs and normaly they dont run to far.at the end of the year my wieght will be better than or more than are hog trapper we have here in my county.he catchs the small ones and alot ,but we catch the bigger ones.there is no right way to get rid of these hogs every body keep doing what yur doing and maybe we can control them.

I know one thing for sure, there are enough to go around. The weather has got them moving around again too. Walnut creek is a 1/2 mile wide in some places where it is usually only 30 feet wide.
