Hey guys I don't post on here much but thought I would share some pictures from my 2011-2012 season. I always enjoy looking at ya'lls pictures so figured I should return the favor. This was a very special year because I got a lab pup from a litter my girlfriend's dog sired. Her dog, Nitro, is 2 and it was awesome to see him come into his own this season. He ended the season with just over 600 retrieves to hand. I also shot my second band and my first one since I was 8 years old! The pictures of straight green hunts all took place in Oklahoma but the other ones took place around Lubbock. It is my last year here at school and definitely the toughest one I've seen for waterfowl. We still managed to scrape together a few good hunts. Although these aren't all of the hunts we went on it is definitely the majority. If ya'll wanna see some more pictures I can try and scrape together a few more. I hope ya'll enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed going on all these incredible hunts.

We'll start off with a few pictures from dove and teal season

Now we'll move onto some of our waterfowl hunts from Lubbock..

Dern!! I would have to say you had one heck of a season. My first question is when do you work? Thank you for sharing the pics. You just have to love straps full of greenheads.

Well you need to fail a year so you can keep doing what your doing. Great job on the birds, we might have a new mallard mallet on the forum here.

I have seen your pictures (from you or one of your buddies) throughout season on FB.

Absolutely awesome! smile

You got a Great girl with ya' there...

I like several of the pictures, but the one with you and her with the over/unders is pretty sweet!!

I miss my day's at Tech...we ran all over the place up there from Lockney to Brownfield and Hart to Crosbyton...

Best was a 3 man limit of Cranes, Canada's, Specks, Mallard drakes, and our kickers...

Thanks for sharin' your season with us! smile

Thanks J.J.! I am definitely a very lucky man. I think she likes killing birds more than I do now! And those over/unders are 28's! They shoot those on the marsh up their so the birds on the other parts of the marsh do not get startled and have a good place to rest! It allows them to have 3 or 4 really good days in a row. It's amazing how much quieter those 28's are compared to a 12! They sound a feel like you're shooting a pop gun!

Yep.. I miss those day's at Tech.. Use to just knock on doors and hunt just outside of the city limits.. Great duck/goose hunting for sure.

Hey John Paul I shoot a 28 also. I bought a Ruger Red Label about 3 or 4 years ago. Without a doubt my favorite weapon. It patterns extremely well and hammers the doves like no tomorrow. What load and chokes were yall using for your ducks? If I get the lease I am trying for then I want to shoot it a few times in the blind. It is two beaver ponds about 10 acres each. We intend to plant and flood grain.
Oh and BTW you got a cute sister bolt
