I'm in the market to get either the weatherby sa-08 or the cz 712 semi-auto 12 gauge. I've been shooting for about 8 months now and currently own a Mossberg 88 pump. A cheap gun but it has done well. I am now looking to upgrade.
I have these two guns in mind but have only been able to test the weatherby. I don't know anyone that carries the cz for rent. I've heard a few good things on both guns but would really like more opinions and information on them.
My budget is around $500-600max.
Being a college student the cheaper the better but quality is a big factor.
Unfortunately, I feel that you have to sacrifice quality if you can't manage the price.
Any information is much appreciated and I am not concrete on just these two guns so feel free to make other suggestions.

FYI: Hunting birds is what I am interested in.

I am WAY under college and shoot it all day long on any bird(is season, obviously)and it is awesome. Great finish IMO.

I am actually in the market to get a Yildiz SPZ ME 20 if not these guns. It's so cheap is why I have to question it's quality. Any suggestions?

I would suggest the CZ. They're not only good shotguns, the C.S. is great at CZusa.

Btw, i'd go with the newer model the 912. Checkout shotgunworld.com and the CZ/Huglu sub forum. There is a member there that is doing a long term test on a 912 and a has had great success with it.

Every single Yildiz is quality IMO. My cousin has an over/under and me the semi-auto

I love my sa-08. I have put 200 rounds through in a day at the range. Not a single hicup good gun for the money.
