Does anybody else shoot these things? 150 grain .308. They dont group the best in my guns (1.5 MOA) but I have dropped everything I shot in its tracks. This 120 lbs sow was 49 yards, from a 5' elevated box blind. That isnt gravel or corn in the exit wound is vertebrae. The neck was essentially hollowed out.

I use them and have had pretty good luck with them out of my 30-06. I shoot the 150 grain and they are accurate as well as deadly.

I usually shoot them in my 7mm...yesterday I shot a boar with a corelok and that did some really crazy damage. Entered the neck and blew out the shoulder on the opposite side. But every pig ive shot with the ballistic has absolute carnage.

Are those Nosler ballistic tips the same thing? I might try those to see if they group tighter.

I shoot them out of my 25-06 and 300wsm and have had the same results on everything that I have shot at. I have not lost anything with them yet...knock on wood. They leave a lot of internal damage on deer and pigs. Nothing better than DRT.

Nosler ballistic tips are good on thin skinned game like deer, but they expand very rapidly so you dont get deep penetration like you want on hogs.

I use the 150 grain out of my .30-06 and they do a good number on the deer and pigs very devastating effects The first time I used one of these out of my .30-06 I thought they didn't expand for worth crap. I made a good shot on a cull buck and he ran off like he wasn't hit; no hump, no stumble, no nothing. Hmmm... I wated about five minutes before I couldn't stand it anymore and had to know if I'd just MISSED a 60 yard shot. I walked to my mark and didn't see any blood, no hair, nothing. I started to get worried about how to explain this to the guys at the camp. I found a little piece of fat stuck to a prickly pear and thought I'd made a brisket shot. "Man, those guys are never going to let me hear the end of this." I started walking out of the senderro in the direction I thought the buck had run and I found him behind a mesquite; hed run about twenty yards. There was a regular looking entrance hole behind his left shoulder and a teeny-tiny exit hole in front of his right shoulder. "That's weird, as expensive as those damned things are I'll never shoot another one." When I started to field dress him a big mess of red slop just fell out of his thoracic cavity. I couldn't really tell lung from heart - it was just soup in there. I think that the little ballistic tip was the only thing that exited. Everything else just exploded in there and tore him to shreds. Pretty danged efficient round.

I shoot the 95 grain Silvertips in my 243, have for a while now on deer & LOTS of hogs. Deadly within 200 yrds, just don't shoot them if you want an exit wound. The 300 lb boar in my sig pic and a number of other big boys were all taken with that round.
