Rob and 1000yard made me look at my organizational skills so I got off my hiney and did some work today. I ordered more slotted bags for specific decoys and built a shelf above the Texas rigged decoys so it is all organized and easy to get too.

Then I grassed in my new Carsten's puddler. I can't wait to hand it to the mallards with this little boat.

I just got these in the mail. I had to bag them up and put them on the shelf, my wife wouldn't let me take them to bed with me.

For those of you interested in goose shells watch the classified adds as I am about to dump a truck load of snow goose shells as soon as I figure out how many I own.

full bodies are definitely worth the money...they look so realistic...Its just hard for me to carry them all in to my public spots...

I think they are worth it. Mixed in with my 12 GH mallard shells the pinnies will top the spread off really well. I know the mallard shells made a grand difference in the panhandle. Just looking at it from the position I was in I could not believe how real they look.

well thank you fellas. I will post more pictures when the grass job is completed. I used some old dull green bailing twine I had laying around from feeding the cows. Mixed in with the raffia grass it breaks it up with a nice contrast. I was pout there earlier this morning at daylight but I can hardly type because my fingers are numb from the cold. What in the wide wide world of sports is going on with this late of a front?

Your going to like them a lot better after we spill blood on them next year. I don't know how cold it was here but working in the barn where I set up the little boat on saw horses, allowed the wind to whip through there. I rarely get cold but my hands keep getting too numb to work because I can't wear gloves to tie the raffia grass. I suuspect it was just above freezing here. The wind is what is getting to me, right out of the northeast.

I had a roll of that crappy pvc decoy line left over so I cut it into 2 foot long pieces and tied them in with the bailing twine and raffia grass. It adds essential black into the camo job.

The final grassed in product. Now I just have to cut a piece of camo to fit the cockpit and grass that camo to match.

Some of that looks like work!

It is a labor of love my friend. Doesn't seem to be like work when your thinking of next season. Next year I will be coming out of the gates when the light turns green. I will only be on call one week out of 5 weeks. PRAISE GOD!!!!!! There will be a drop in the duck population next year.

I can tell you right now it is built well. I am by no means a little man. I had no problems paddling and stearing it. It glides along really quietly. Drafts with me in it I am guessing 6 to 7 true inches. They are hard to find used. They get bought up really quickly. I just missed buying another one by one person. I was #5 on te list, #4 on the list bought it.
