I have both and love the 92FS. Totally reliable, never a failure, never. Took it to a training school and ran at least 700 rounds through it with zero failures. Even used different types of ammo that weekend, monarch, winchester, and my own reloads.

Can't go wrong with either one, just a matter of personal preference.

I think IF you're comparing the B92 to the G17, then you have to really look at a few things. There are tactical uses and how well you're going to shoot it. For a self defence pistol the Glock is going to win that contest more times than not. If you're on the road where ranges open up a bit the B92 may offer a bit more. The other question is what you're going to do with the DA/SA trigger system and slide mounted safety. Out of the holster the G 17 is a much faster pistol to bring into action.

I pick Glock for sure. Berettas are nice, but too heavy. This topic came up last week on another board I frequent. The question was asked of current and former military, and the vast majority of those who carried the m9 would have preferred a glock.

Glock weighs one ounce lighter loaded, that the Beretta unloaded.

I have owned many different guns over the years - prev owned 5 different Glocks.

I have eight Beretta 92s and a PX4. The Beretta does it for me.

But, there is no "best" gun. Both are great guns. Someone will like one, and someone else will like the other. Find a place to rent both (or find someone that will let ya put a few rounds thru one). Then, decide which you like.

My fav gun 10 years ago wasn't my favorite 5 years later. And, my current favorite gun (the Beretta 92 platform) wasn't my favorite 5 years ago....

I own both. I am not enamored of either. The Beretta has a second strike capability and a loaded chamber indicator as well as a decocker and safety. Luckily we have other choices. I am impressed with the XD family and would choose that if I had to buy a gun in the $500 price range today. If we are talking fun at the range nothing beats a quality 1911. If I was going into battle I would take a sig or h&k.

I have both.. go with the glock. Lighter, easier to carry and faster to draw.

Neither for me thank you. Both are good reliable handguns but the Berreta is to big and bulky with a poor trigger. As for the Glock all I'll say is I don't like plastic pistols and I never will.

Depends on whether it will be for carry or just shooting.
If I were just shooting, or home defense I would go with the Barretta - little more accurate in my experience because of the extra weight.
But for carry - it's too heavy, I have a Glock for that

Having owned just about every make and model of pistol out there including, Sigs, Beretta, H&k, S&W, Ruger, CZ, Springfield XD`s, and a lot of 1911`s. I`ve been through several armorers school, and all I can say is I bet my A$$ on my Glocks. All are nice pistols. If you shooting for nice tight groups but a quality 1911. There are very few moving parts on Glocks, and they are super easy to work on. The others not so much. Glocks are a little on the ugly side, but shoot everytime you pull the trigger. After going through the armorer school for the XD`s I sold the two that I had, and replaced them with Glocks. I really liked the XD`s shooting them, but way way way to many moving and flimsy parts. 1911 you better have a good pistol smith. H&K back to to the factory for most repairs, and yes they will break. I know first hand. I love the Sigs, and like to shoot them. For ease of shooting realibility and cleaning it`s hard to beat the Glock. Just my 2cents. Good luck, and happy shooting.
