I have not hunted deer in Red River County, only hogs. Saw several VERY nice 8 & 10 pointers alive and multiple dead bucks & does. The land I hunt hogs on, the owner also has deer leases.

Rcbulldog, if you find a lease up there that looks good... Wouldnyou mind shooting me a pm?

I have to wear sunglasses into the woods, because the deer would recognize me, an just surrender with their hooves up.

Our farm is located in Boxelder which is about 20 miles east of Detroit in Red River Co. How the hunting rates I guess would be a matter of oppinion. If you are looking for 200 class bucks your barking up the wrong tree, but there are some nice deer and good numbers. I'd say anything in the 120 class would be considered a monster in Red River Co. My son shot an eight that was around 90 inches this year and that is usually about as big as we see.
