Well if ya like single actions and ya want a 9mm you owe it to yourself to look at a Browning Hi-Power. I wouldn't get rid of mine for just about anything. Extremely reliable, and way more accurate than I am. At one time I had damn near 30 of them all pre 1983 except for a new 40 that I sent to NOVAK, it came back in 357 Sig.

this^ love mine, all of them which ones do you have sub compact 9 sub compact 40 full-size 40 compact .45 fullsize .45 i'm looking to get a fullsize 9mm, just waiting fo the right deal

I like the new glock with adjustable hand grips. Can get trigger worked on very cheap. Get the target vertion for accuracy or ipsc shoots. great gun.
But I am about to get my first 1911!!!! In 9mm. I cant beleave how good the triggers are on those guns compaired to double actions.

My favorite is at the top of the list. http://www.best9mm.com/It's a close race between a CZ75b and a G17. I think everybody should own one or the other. Then get an additional something else.... It's tought to beat an XD/XDM as well. FN makes some good pistols as well.
