I'm not 100% sure this is the right area for this to be posted, but what concealment holsters do y'all use, how much does it run, and how/why do you like it?

I carry a glock 26 in a crossbreed supertuck. There's a regular cowhide model and a horsehide model. I use the horsehide model and love it. It rides really close to the body. I think it was $83 or $93 don't remember(cowhide is ceaper). I ordered it from their website and got it in about 3 weeks.

G35 with Surefire X300, in a kydex holster I make. Rides very high and close to the body.
Occasionally a G22 or G27 in a Crossbreed IWB.

Crossbreed holster. I think shipped it was near $80. I have carried several different cc holsters over the years and this is the best I have found. I did see that Cabelas is now carrying a copy version that I think Galco is making. It was slightly cheaper in price but have never carried so I won't speak on it.

I use Don Hume IWB to carry at about 5 o'clock. 3 seperate holster that are in fact compact and secure when carrying either an M&P 40compact, glock 27 or M&P 40 (full size, not really compact).

These holsters fit to the specific handgun and are rather tight until broken in.

$.02

They run $38.00 shipped from BuyAHolster.com

It'll probably be either a Glock 23 or whatever the subcompact is in .40.

Currently a Walther PPS in a DM Bullard (Azle, TX) Bodyguard, previously a SW 360pd in a DM Bullard Bodyguard or Combat or a DeSantis Nemesis, before that a Kimber 1911 Ultra in - a DM Bullard Bodyguard. As you may have noticed, I like the Bullard OWB holsters. A lot depends on what you are carrying, kind of holster you like, how you normally dress, and your daily activities.

That would be the Glock 27 then.

I'm looking for a good holster for a 27 also. I need 1 that the gun absolutely will not come out of the holster on accident cuz I also wear it @ the ranch & if I lose it there it's lost forever.

I hate it. Just not comfortable to me at all.

I either go high ride OWB holster with an untucked shirt or pocket carry a LCP if I go tucked in.

Bullard makes awesome holsters. I have a few from him. Just haven't found a comfortable IWB yet though. Best I've found is the Comptac like shown above.

I carried IWB for years and think that the pressure contributed to my bad back in the L-5 area. I try once in awhile now, but can't handle it for more than a few minutes.

Kirkpatrick's Leather in Laredo makes good holsters. I have one of their Texas Strongside and also the Texas Crossdraw for a medium sized auto. All my working leather was made by them and it has held up for over 20-25 years and is still good.

I have a couple strongside Blackhawk and Fobus holsters for some other stuff I might carry sometimes.

As far as iwb, to me they are all uncomfortable. I just think crossbreed is the best I have found. The only cc I have ever found to be comfortable and actually carried all the time was a north America arms .32 with a hand made pocket holster. I know, very small caliber and not many rounds (that's why I got rid of it). But looking back its the only one I always carried.

I use a Simply Rugged Cuda for my PCR, carried IWB at 4 o'clock. I've always preferred IWB. I think the holster was maybe $60? I have three holsters and three " Real Man" belts from Simply Rugged and will continue to buy from them.

I think how you carry depends more on personal preference and dress style- tuck shirts, untucked shirts, carry in the pocket. So what works well for one might not work for the next. I personally use (90%of the time) a Blade Tech Nano IWB for a G29SF in 10mm. I like it, but the straps that hold to the belt stick out more. It also has snaps to attach. If you need to take it off to go somewhere and want to put it back on, it's a chore. I like being able to take off and put on quickly and with ease. I am thinking about buying the crossbreed holster, or one of the Comp Tac IWB that attaches to the belt in front and behind the holster, not at the holster. For my Kahr PM40, I use a cheap Galco Sto N Go. I love this little holster since you can take it on and off easily. Plus, the belt clip allows you to mount it to many other surfaces and items.

Another important aspect is to get a good heavy belt. The wrong belt can make a great holster set up be very uncomfortable. I use a black Ross 1 1/2" heavy leather belt. It is very sturdy, and I use it for dress, jeans and competitions. So get a good sturdy belt.

The only IWB I've ever liked is the Crossbreed, as a general IWB's are just uncomfortable. Like Chad said a good belt makes a huge difference.

I used to wear the Don Hume IWB with a Glock 27, it was like nothing was there. Today I drove from Dallas to Raton NM with a MP40compact in a Don Hume. About Clayton I moved it to my hip, outside the waist band. These handguns and holsters are a nice small package...

When I say IWB, it is at five oclock.
