I own 2 semiauto Beneli shotguns and hunt with several that use the Super Novas they all like them a lot and from what I have seen they have had no issues with them
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

Nova is a good gun..
What it is Not the smoothest action Not the lightest Not the prettiest But probably the most indestructible

Can't speak to the Nova, but ever since 2005 when I bought my Super Black Eagle, my old Rem 1100 has stayed in the safe.

I have a Benelli Montefeltro auto and love it.
I had a Nova pump and did not care for it. It seemed loose and "rattley" to me. Maybe I got a bad one IDK. I am a bigger fan of your 870 in a pump gun.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

If you are stuck on a pump I suggest the Browning bps.. its the probably the smoothest pump action out their.

We own both a 12 and 20ga Nova. They are not ugly...they are "ruggedly handsome!" They fit ergonomically, they are light, they will shoot without fail(with or without mud!)and I really don't know of anything better in a pump shotgun to duck hunt with. Oh, I also own 3 870's that I have had for years. Great guns, but I just prefer the Benellis. They are that good to me.

I have a Nova that I hunt ducks and turkey with (mainly turkey). I love it for 3 reasons... 1. it is ugly so I dont care about scares and dings. 2. it was inexpensive so I dont care about scares and dings. Third and most important is it goes boom every time i pull the trigger! I have submerged this gun several times, left it in the rain one night, dropped it more than once and it still works like it should.

If they are better, stronger or slicker than a well used 870, they are GOOD. I would spend the money for more shells. jt

Hey Bull, I understand the urge to try something different. I have a lot of grey in what hair I have left and have owned dozens of handguns, shotguns and rifles over the years. I used to be a member of the gun of the month (maybe week) club. Best wishes, jack

I have a Nova and like it fine, keep it tied on front of ATV when pond jumping. I also like my Remington 870, and Mossberg 500. I was given a Remington 31 long barrel with a poly choke, original owner bought it and uwsed it extensively for duck hunting. Guess I would feel comfortable taking any out to a blind or lake. I live between Texoma & Ray Roberts. The old Remington with that 32" barrel and polychoke makes the best paddle in case yours slips from the boat.

Ive got a Super Nova tactical I love the polymer finish on the reciever. IMO better than the 870, don't have to worry about rust or marks and wont fade away. The ghost ring sights are also awesome.
