 Pretty sweet huh!  This is my pintail I got back last year! Matt over at Birdworks Taxidermy did a great job on both!

Where did you find a full plumed blue? It isn't impossible but you just don't see the masked bandits until late late in the season.

Where did you find a full plumed blue? It isn't impossible but you just don't see the masked bandits until late late in the season. Both last year and this have produced some nicely feathered Blue Wings coming through North Texas. They seem to be found mainly on small private water with a total of 6 pics sent of very nice drakes. I also received a pic of one killed in December in a wooded marsh in South East Texas...and 2 others that an outfitter killed in Seadrift. I've had calls on a total of 5 Cinnamon's from the coast this year as well. You can usually kill nice drake blue wings between Houston and Rockport at the end of the season. You just never know where you might run into one.
