Smith County is covered up with hogs, just like all of East Texas.
I have a place on the Sabine River near Hwy 155, and we have lots of hogs at times, not so many some times.
Old Sabine Bottoms is about 10 miles upstream from me, but I have a friend with a place near Hawkins that says he has a ton of hogs.
Good Luck, and if you're going to Old Sabine Bottoms, you might want to wait until the river recedes from flood stage, and gets back to normal. All the big rains northwest of there made the river get up big time.

Where in Smith county do you hunt public land? I have always hunted private lands and leases, but would like to know whats available nearby.
