Been trying to get access to an impoundment a couple of miles from our place in mexico, and finally got the "ejido" comisioner to let us hunt it (an ejido is basically comunal lands in mexico that were distributed to the people in 86-87 when the gov expropiated quite a bit of land from private land owners but thats another story) anyway, been trying to get in here for a couple of weeks with no luck. Finally traded them 10 sacks of concrete and some building "block" for access for the rest of the season..... I wish I had known thats all the comisioner wanted....

Anyway....

THE hunting party, no blinds since its the first time we get access...

The results

SPOOOONNNNNSSSSSS

Very nice. I'm jealous of the cinnamon drakes. I've been after one for years. Have only seen 3 total in my life. Just don't hunt far enough south for a nice drake.

My buddy shot his second thus past weekend. I joked with him and said I'd trade a cinnamon drake for a limit we shot on the closure.
