We all have those few friends that we hunt with almost every time we go out. The dedicated few that will knock on your window when you forget to set your alarm, sleep in the bed of a truck on weekend trips with you, and those that will give you there sweatshirt and second pair of socks after you fall in. Those that chip in for gas, carry decoys, clean birds, and loan shells when you are having an off day. Those exact friends that will give you crap every chance they get for missing an easy shot, rub it in your face when they shoot better than you, and tell you they will miss your dog more than you come the end of hunting season. And lets not forget our hairy 4 legged friends who save us possibly miles of walking retrieving our birds faithfully every year.
So here is a toast to those that we hunt with and making hunting the enjoyment that it is!

That's what it's all about. Nice to have ducks on the strap, but the time with good friends is more valuable !

To my son We might not have killed every duck that buzzed the pond or cupped to land or limited out everytime...... but we had a blast tryin'
I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.

Funny how it works out like that, if that is not happening, then probably not a good hunting partner. Except my dog, I give her no crap and she gives me none, but she is the only one!

To my son We might not have killed every duck that buzzed the pond or cupped to land or limited out everytime...... but we had a blast tryin' Same here! took my 13 year old with me this year and we had a blast. I love getting up with him at 3am and sitting around for 2 hours in the pitch black just bonding. We had some good times this year. On the other hand, I am going to have to find new duck hunting buddies next year. We have always hunted public and it was fine. They got on a lease so didn't hunt public as much this year. I held down the spot and had good luck....but, then when the ducks disappeared on the lease, they came back to public and didn't want me bringing out anyone. They are stingy with their ducks. To me, it's all about hunting with your buddies and everyone having a good time. They can have that spot, and I'll find another spot, and other hunting buddies.
Sometimes a little self-therapy is good for the soul... getting out to mother nature, finding peace in reading a good book, re-learning how to take care of yourself.
