I make what I call "whiplash" because you take a couple packs of yeast, a few beers (pearl works well.. lol), corn, molasses, and water and mix it all together really well and let it sit for a week or two.
The stuff smells so bad that when you open the lid, you get whiplash when you throw your head back.. heh
I need to swap out some water with milk and then add in some mild sausage.. great ideas!

I must have done something wrong. I started a mix of corn, milk, cool aid, & beer last summer. I've added corn occasionally to replace what I took out. Recently tossed in some rolled oats.
Mine actually smells pretty good to me.
I know I'm a little overweight but.....

Ever hurd diesel. That really work ? I would think the fumes on the corn would draw them away? How much diesel would u put in it? Like a coffee can full or just a little? diesel is more to keep raccoon and deer from eating the corn. it is not really a attractant. Lol, it might work with deer, but around these parts we got some hungry-axxed coons. The first time I tried the diesel trick, I filled a 5 gal. bucket with corn and poured 1\2 gal of diesel all over it then put a piece of plywood on top with a 20+ lb. chunk of concrete on top. Later that night, I walked outside and heard noise out behind the barn-found the bucket on its' side without a kernel one in it and coon tracks everywhere... I've had good luck souring corn with cheap beer and strawberry Koolaid mix but can't tell if it helps that much over plain ole corn.
Old age ain't for sissies!

Active yeast (bread yeast) should get things going. Use warm, but not boiling, water. The temperature should be a little over 100°F. A bit of beer won't hurt, neither would jello or just some sugar to feed the yeast.
I have two unwritten rules: 1. 2.
