Depends on the application, but I love the RNT Short. I would sell my mother before getting rid of this call. I think it's actully below your price range too.

I love my RNT, but I tend to like a little more whiney sound. Don't get me wrong, I get the whines out of my RNT, but have been more favorable towards my Echo Pure Meat.

I am done with big call makers. I think there are smaller call makers making better calls for same or even cheaper money.
I have an Alpha 2 in mallard green that I'll sell you for $90.
Right now my favorite call is a Fowlweather Antifreeze. I really like this little call.

I agree with Judd.
Ive got an acrylic original RNT and a cocobola short barrel. Both good call, love the short barrel but gosh dang...just too much money for a dang duck call. Gets under my skin.

I have an RNT Alpha 2 in Cocobola and it is a great sounding call but I still get more volume out of my Primos Over/Under 35 dollar call.

Why does that not surprise me? BTW - I had an original and if you gave me one I would sell it. I never could get it to sound the way I wanted it. I know the captain can make one sing but I never did like it and I had him tune mine and still didn't like it. My 2 cents....good for what you paid for it.

The Fowlweather call I said I loved is a single.
You're right...he is just that good. Probably call ducks with a blade of grass press between his thumbs like we did when we were kids.

I've seen a lot of ducks killed this year due to RNT calls. One of the main ones being an original.

Pictures or it didn't happen I didn't say they were bad I just don't like'em. DR85's kill a ton of ducks but I don't like them either.

tisk tisk. I agree. It's all about what you are comfortable with and can run. For me, it's single reeds and RnT DC/Original.

Banzai is my #1 Call right now, have a 8 yr old Follies Straight Meat. Have stuck on it for years, Have ordered a Hobo Call should have it tomorrow. But my Favorite of all Favorite call's is my Matt Price Whistle. The Most versatile call in my arsenal.
GW Teal, Widgeon, Pintail and Drake Mallard Whistles
The Most versatile I have ever used.
Plus Extremely nice looking
Go to You Tube and look up his calls
