Well we just got back and i can say it was cold, wet, and completely different style of hunting, but it was AWESOME..we shot quite a few birds each day between 12-20, but never just murdered them. Best part is we all got the birds we wanted and brought plenty back to mount. I personally killed Common Eiders, Old Squall, Surf Scoters, White Wing Scoters, Atlantic Brant, and the only Black Scoter of the trip. Would highly recommened the outfitter Ramsey Russel with GetDucks.com and the guide service Capitan Adam Smith with Perfect Limit guide Service.....Hope you like the pics My Dad, Brother, and buddy Lane with a nice Drake Eider and 2 Drake Old Squall...Lane def shot the best one of the trip with probably a 10-12 inch sprig Me and Lane on the Rocks..it was -7 that morning My Brother with his best Old Squall Me with my Best Old Squal from the Second day and my first Surf Scoter Lane with his First Eider, My Brother with his first Surf Scoter and me with the same Old Squall

Dang you are over by Logan/Bunker Hill. Recognize State Street Bank in the background. Good time but look cold.

Yeah we were hunting right in the Harbor by Logan ....and i we renamed them Squalls, cause they seemed to only fly when the wind was roaring.

Is that bunker hill area in the background on second picture? Make me shiver thinking about how cold it can get there. Spent one winter there in Boston Naval Ship Yards. Ship went boilers cold and was under repairs and we had no steam for heat. LOL. It was cold. Cracking ice going out of Boston Bay headed for Iceland /NA in Febuary

Didn't know you could hunt in the harbor. That's awesome as my wife's family still lives in Charlestown. We're you hunting from the breakers or boat? Or both. Any hassle getting your shotguns into Boston?

Make sure you use a taxidermist that knows some of the "tricks" of mounting eiders. Shane smith, todd Huffman, brad laaker. It took me a few to gettem down.
