deer are on the smallish side.
plus is there are alot of free roaming exotics.
it really will depend on how big the place is and how big the neighbors are
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Deer hunting can be pretty good.
Before I leased I would run through the pasture or fly over it to make sure anthrax hasn't wiped out the whitetail population
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I would ask the landowner straight out about anthrax and how long ago it was on the place. What type of livestock on the place- cattle, sheep, goats, combo of these or are all of them? The combination of the amount of rainfall and type of livestock will either make it a great place or not so good place to hunt. To many exotics can be just as bad on the WT as to the type of livestock if he is limiting your quota on exotics.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

The ranch is 1200 acres and yes he has exocits on the property the ranch is also surrounded big ranches. You better get the details on the exotics. In his ad it sounds like he charges extra per exotic killed. Also it says no turkeys allowed and bowhunting in October only on weekends. As far as the deer go, that is one of my favorite areas to hunt. Where I hunted for years there were tons of deer and axis. Never killed anything that would be considered a "trophy" but those were some of the funnest hunts I can remember.

Been hunting in that area 6 years. This last year was the worst for whitetail bucks due to the drought. If it dont go to raining soon, this next year dont look any better.

That's a good looking mouflon on the left there There are several running around like that but i only saw them on camera. Some smaller ones showed up but we let them walk. We were after the big Rams with at least a full circle of horn.
