Hey guys, I'm a first time poster on the site and I wanted your opinions on this topic:
1. How many of you (if ever) have used hog bomb sow in heat? (made by buck bomb)
2. what were your results from using it?
I'm asking because I used it it on a managed Hog ranch a year ago and had some pretty good results [img:left]http://https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.458672410895.249813.500570895&type=3#!/photo.php?fbid=458673275895&set=a.458672410895.249813.500570895&type=3&theater[/img]
however as I said before It was a managaed ranch so I'm not sure it the result would be the same if i used it in the "wild" just trying to get some tetimonials or some tips on the best way to used

I've used the sow in heat on a place where it was dominated by boars and never had any luck. Waste of money.

I have used the liquid form, not from the same company, in traps. I couldnt really tell if it improved the results or not.

I have sprayed the hog bomb with boars in bow range. They didn't really seem too interested in it.

Just my 2 cents on the topic... Waste of money. It's hard to beat Grape Kool Aide & Rolled Oats. Try it out!

I tried one in an area that I know boars come to almost every night and I used it late in the evening, I didn't see any pigs that night. Doesn't mean that it scared them off, but I don't think it helped either.

I think the only things such products are good for bagging are pig hunters. I have tried some and the results were negative. I know there are testimonials about how folks have sprayed/poured/treated Product X in a given location and hogs showed up minutes later. I have had this happen several times after arriving at my stand. Maybe pigs find me attractive? I would be willing to bet that there is a lot of coincidence between use of products and apparently success just like there is a lot of coincidence of me showing up and having hogs show up a few minutes later. Sure it has happened, but it is rather random, maybe happening 1 out of 30 or 40 trips to the stand. One productt tried, Grim Reaper http://www.inheatscents.net/grimreaper.html actually seemed to drive animals away.

I've never tried any thing like hog bomb, beast feast, etc. My best formulas always include kool aid. Grape net the best results for me as well. Also consider stale beer, fryer grease, sour milk or buttermilk, all over a bag of corn spread around. Plan to try out some old cheap pink champagne here in a few weeks, was going to try that out last month but didn't get the chance. I'll report on that.
