Don't where you are in North Texas but in East Texas at the White Oak Creek WMA there's quite a few hogs there.

do we need buy APH to hunt hog in public land besides resident permit?

yes add $48 to the lic. cost.
Forum says "Veteran Tracker". I could not track a garbage truck into a fireworks factory.
