I have a 4-12 and it compares to the nikon buckmaster line. Much better warranty from Vortex I've heard, never had to use it though.

I have five of them! Great optics. What questions did you have or concerns?

I've got one on a 270 Win. Great glass and never had a single issue with it.

Thanks everyone. Are they as clear as I have been reading about? Extremely clear. Reticle isn't real thin, but is great for fast aqusistion.

I've got the 4-12 as well and have only taken it to the range once but I was really impressed with it. The glass is fantastic and no tools are needed to adjust your elevation and windage knobs. They are knurled and they can easily be turned with just your fingers. During my research before buying it I even came across a few people that said they had only ever owned Leupolds but for the money they can't see themselves buy anything else but the Diamondback from here on out. Thats pretty high praise I thought and did a good part to sway my opinion.

Just picked up one today. Was at Cabela's and noticed they had a 3x9x40 with the dead hold BDC reticle for $130 in the box...had to give it a try. MedicMan (or anyone else) what mount is that pictured above with the Diamondback on an AR? I'm also putting mine on an AR and need to get a good mount.
Thanks, Earl

Earl-
I'm not sure of the mount on MedicMan's rifle.
But any cantilever mount will work for you.
Like the SWFA SSALT mount, Burris PEPR mount, American Defense, Warne, Bobro.
There are several different options.

I have the 4-12x40 w/ the BDC reticle on my 22-250. They are the best bang for the buck IMO.
All ready
